Network management
A network manager is very crucial for companies or organizations with a large network. Network management can refer to computers, telecommunications and terminal equipment. It can also relate to monitoring of a network, system control, deployment, allocation and other work related functions in line with security management.
Routing is one important term in network management. It is the path in which a network passed on data between two or mote computers. Packets of information are passed from a source destination down to a number of nodes that the router can recognize. An organized routing table can maintain the safety and security of stored data of a network.
Security management is also an integral part of network management. A network administrator should create a system that can protect data from being accessed by unauthorized users. Network management also means connecting hardware, software, documentation and firmware in an organized structure to maintain the smooth flow of secured data.
Network management can also be classified into six pillars. These include security management, fault management, configuration management, accounting management and performance management. Security management is deemed as one of the more important aspects of network management. It alerts admin whenever data are accessed without authorization. Performance management is also important in monitoring and assessing the quality of a network and its performance.
