  • Update your computer operating system as often as you can. This can give your more protection when using the Internet. Old operating systems, like Windows 97, may not give you enough protection. Internet threats and viruses tend to destroy the security system of old operating systems quite easily. You can check Microsoft or Apple’s website for updates that you can use to create a more secure system for your computer.
  • When logging on to the internet, it would be wise to use a current web browser that you can download for free. Choose a browser that can give you strong security when you access your online accounts.
  • You can also use third party software for a stable online security. If you are doing banking on the Internet, you can use a number of software programs that you can purchase from a number of websites on the Internet.
